Senior Project Manager (capital works projects)
Working within a collaborative and high-performing project team, this role will provide expert project management advice and mentoring more junior Project Managers. You will play a key role in delivering fit-for-purpose, sustainable infrastructure and asset solutions that support organisational objectives.
About the Role
- Leading the planning, delivery, monitoring and review of capital works, facilities and asset management projects
- Managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks and governance throughout the project lifecycle
- Developing business cases, feasibility studies, project plans and budget estimates
- Coordinating consultants, contractors and project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and end users, ensuring their needs are understood and met
- Providing high-level reporting on project performance, risks, financial status and key milestones
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
- Driving sustainability initiatives, safety in design principles and continuous improvement practices
- Leading and mentoring project staff to achieve high-performance outcomes
- Preparing executive briefs, strategic reports and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
About You
- To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience managing complex capital works or infrastructure projects
- Strong project governance, financial management and risk management expertise
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and develop high-performing staff
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- Experience managing consultants, contractors and procurement processes
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
