Are you an experienced Centre Manager ready to step into a hands-on leadership role at a well-established retail shopping centre based close to home in Wollongong. Start immediately as a temporary employee for 2-3 months with a potential to extend into a permanent role depending on performance and business needs. This role offers you full ownership in your role and security for long term employment.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the centre, providing strong leadership to the centre management team while ensuring smooth operations, stakeholder engagement and commercial outcomes. This role requires you to be confident, proactive and able to take on this role from day one.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail centre
- Lead and motivate the centre management team
- Maintain strong retailer relationships and handle escalations as required
- Manage financial performance including budgets, reporting and arrears
- Oversee contractors, compliance, risk management and site presentation
- Act as the key point of contact for owners and stakeholders
- Ensure a positive customer experience and strong community presence
- Experienced managing an established retail asset
You will have:
- Proven experience as a Centre Manager is essential (shopping centre / retail property environment)
- Strong leadership capability – confident managing teams and stakeholders
- Able to step into a role quickly with minimal handover
- Commercially astute with solid financial and operational knowledge
- Solution-focused, calm under pressure and highly organised
- Based in, or able to work close to home in Wollongong
