Property Paralegal

The company

A leading property owner with substantial property assets is seeking to appoint a new Property Paralegal to join their team.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, you will be part of a close-knit team managing significant properties.

  • Assist with the preparation and issue of lease documents

  • Assist in maintaining and updating leasing registers

  • Ensure all documentation is in accordance with tenants’ obligations under the lease, such as bank guarantees and currency of insurances

  • Reconciliation of tenant accounts and seeking collection of arrears

Skills & Experience

To be considered, you will need prior experience, ideally with exposure to retail property and law, although commercial property or general lease administration will be favourably considered. You will need to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact, be flexible in your approach and confident enough to learn swiftly. Experience in negotiating and interpreting leases, a strong knowledge of the Retail & Commercial Leases Act, and the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders including landlords, real estate agents and legal representatives is highly desirable. Your ability to assess tenants’ invoices, set up leases and tenancy information in accordance with processing guidelines is also important.

Essential/Desirable Criteria

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement

  • Strong understanding of lease, ancillary documents, and application

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Demonstrable history of being an integral member of a hardworking and dynamic team

What's on offer

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative team. Your commitment and drive will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package. Operating within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, you will enjoy functioning within a role which offers the opportunity to broaden your skill set and further develop your capabilities.
