Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for moving into a government role where you can make a difference to the community and apply your commercial leasing and property management experience?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Officer to join our client's team and play a vital role in the efficient leasing and licensing of important assets /lands across the state.
This role is based in Adelaide and is to start asap, with the option to wfh 2 days a week -applicants must be located in Adelaide and able to commence with short notice.
Role Overview:
The Property Officer is responsible for providing timely and appropriate leasing and licensing services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
This role includes administering commercial license and leasehold tenures, extensions, renewals, dealing with buildings and facilities and offering technical advice to stakeholder.
Leases will be managed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leasing, licensing, extensions, renewals and property management.
- Efficiently manage leasing and licensing processes in line with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct inspections as required, managing leases and recommend appropriate actions where necessary
- Provide stakeholders with clear guidance on procedures and progress related to leasing and licensing transactions.
- Maintain departmental records in compliance with relevant legislation, government policies, and current administrative practices.
- Experience in interpreting and providing advice to clients and stakeholders in relation to legislation
- Some day travel (not overnight) will be required (full driving licence required)
Key Relationships:
- Collaborate with the Manager, Business Partnerships, and the broader Commercial Leasing and Business Partnerships teams.
- Liaise with state government agencies, including the accommodation divisions
- Work closely with Senior Property Officers and executive team
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external clients, including government bodies, non-government entities, and the public.
- Has a solid understanding of leasing and licensing processes and regulations and property management
- Is able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Possesses excellent communication skills to advise and update stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Has a current police clearance
- Able to commence with short notice
The opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment in a temporary role with the opportunity to apply for the longer term role. Weekly pay and great hourly rate. Monday to Friday
(0.8 FTE (in office day Monday and another day) - ability to WFH (work from home) the other 2 days /negotiable across 5 days if preferred ).
