Project Manager - Buildings projects

The Role
Our client is a high-profile organisation with a large number of property assets and construction projects of all sizes and complexities. We currently have a role in their team working on a range of projects related to construction/building/logistics.

Essential skills in stakeholder engagement, a building-trades-construction background,  budget and financial project / client side project management skills and experience are essential to this role.

With a keen attention to detail and expert management skills, the Project Managers ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Applicants must have end to end project management skills and experience.

Key duties will include: 
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
  • Consult with internal clients to scope projects
  • Issue tender documents
  • Work closely with consultants and contractors
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Attend site and project meetings
  • Consult with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Budgetary and document management
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Skills & Experience
We are looking for project managers who have a proven track record in successfully managing projects with ease and flair! 
You will  thrive on variety and working in a fast-paced role.  Strong consultation skills and the ability to keep projects running on time and on budget will be key to your success. 
You must have a current police clearance.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, a high level of computer literacy and the ability to manage work across a large number of reporting entities are essential.
 Previous experience of 3 years in local or state government is ideal or client side project management.
 
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management
  • Qualifications in PM or Construction e  or a Trade qualification such as Carpentry, Buildings etc
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management software and tools
A current police clearance, full driver's license and full working rights are required for this role.

What's on offer
This is a temporary position with the possibility of longer term prospects. 
Standard hours are 37.5 per week (with flexibility) located in the Adelaide CBD
