Maintenance Officer

Harbour Town Adelaide | Full-Time
Harbour Town Adelaide is seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Centre Management team. This role is responsible for maintaining the presentation, functionality, and safety of the centre while delivering a high standard of service to retailers, contractors, and visitors.
About the Role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of Harbour Town Adelaide. You will undertake a variety of maintenance activities, coordinate contractors, and identify opportunities to improve the centre's presentation and operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake general maintenance and repair work across the centre
  • Complete maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently
  • Proactively identify and address maintenance and presentation issues
  • Assist with obtaining quotes and coordinating maintenance works
  • Liaise with contractors and ensure all required inductions, permits, insurances, and certifications are in place
  • Undertake routine painting and presentation works
  • Inspect and repair pavers and trip hazards
  • Maintain Pavelock and undertake minor plumbing repairs
  • Conduct roof and gutter inspections, cleaning, and accessible leak repairs
  • Support preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist with centre events and marketing activities when required.
About You
You are a reliable, practical, and customer-focused maintenance professional who enjoys working in a busy team environment.
Essential Requirements
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance role
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to support others.
Desirable
  • Experience within a retail or shopping centre environment
  • WHS experience and understanding of safe work practices
  • Experience coordinating and managing trades and contractors
  • Skills in painting, paving repairs, plumbing, and general maintenance.
