Associate & SA (3+ PQE) - Commercial Property

An opportunity is available for an Associate or Senior Associate with at least 3 years PAE to join a busy and well established Commercial Property team in Sydney CBD.
This role is suited to a lawyer who enjoys working across a broad range of transactional property matters, managing client relationships and taking ownership of their files in a fast paced environment where commercial judgement and autonomy are highly valued.

The Role
Working within a high performing property practice, the successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of matters, including:
  • Commercial and residential sales and acquisitions
  • Retail, commercial and industrial leasing matters
  • Property development transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts and related documentation
  • Conducting due diligence and title investigations
  • Managing PEXA settlements and electronic conveyancing processes
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Running matters from commencement through to settlement
  • Advising clients on a variety of commercial property transactions
Depending on experience level, the successful candidate will either manage their own files independently or take a leading role in more complex matters while providing guidance and support to junior lawyers within the team.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 3 years PAE in Commercial Property law
  • Experience gained within a private practice law firm
  • Strong leasing and transactional property experience
  • The ability to manage files autonomously and confidently
  • Demonstrated experience using PEXA
  • Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills
  • Commercial judgement and practical problem solving ability
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
