About the Role:
Due to increased growth we have a new opportunity with the Planning & Development team working as an Asset Manager. CESA is seeking a strategic and experienced Asset Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive asset management strategy across its Diocesan schools. With a highly valued property portfolio, this role is critical in ensuring sustainable, high-quality infrastructure and facilities for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Framework Development : Lead the creation and implementation of a system-wide asset management strategy, framework, and dashboard.
  • Lifecycle Asset Management: Oversee acquisition, operation, maintenance, renewal, and disposal of assets across CESA Diocesan schools.
  • Compliance & Risk : Ensure schools address insurance risk management (PUR reports) and comply with Essential Safety Provision (ESP) requirements.
  • Energy Procurement : Negotiate and manage energy supply procurement contracts for all CESA schools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with school leaders, finance teams, and external consultants to ensure consistent asset management practices.

Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in asset or property management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 55000 standards and lifecycle asset management.
  • Experience with asset registers, databases, and GIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management tools (e.g., IoT, BIM).
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Other Requirements:
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and SAVA Catholic Clearance.
  • Certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and CESA’s values of inclusivity, respect, and compassion.
