Wednesday, 22 July 2026, 12.30PM-2.00PM, Melbourne CBD

NEW EVENT
📅 Date: Wednesday, 22 July 2026
⏰ Time: 12.30PM-2.00PM
📍 Venue: Level 1/99 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000
This practical session is designed to help HR leaders understand their role in creating and maintaining a psychologically safe workplace for themselves, their teams and the broader business.
Across the one-hour in-person session, with 15 minutes for questions and networking to follow, we will explore the changing psychosocial hazards landscape, including the shift from a traditional focus on physical safety to a broader obligation to manage psychological safety at work. We will also unpack the Victorian Regulations introduced on 1 December 2025 and what they mean for leaders in practice.
The session will cover:
• the personal obligations leaders owe in creating a safe workplace;
• relevant case studies and examples;
• the consequences of getting it wrong;
• practical tips for identifying, responding to, and managing concerns; and
• the increasingly challenging line between work, personal boundaries and employee mental health discussions.
The session will be led by Andrew Brooks, Head of Employment + Workplace Relations at Law Squared, who brings significant experience in workplace health and safety and supporting businesses to proactively manage employment, safety, and people-related risks.
